The Art of
Preparation

Everything you need to know before stepping into the studio.

The Countdown

A curated timeline for a stress-free session.

Four Weeks Prior
  • Book your aesthetic appointments: Schedule any hair coloring, trims, or specialized facial treatments now. Avoid trying new aggressive skin treatments closer to the date.
  • Wardrobe Audition: Begin curating your three looks. Order any pieces online now to allow time for shipping and returns if the fit isn't perfect.
  • Communicate: Send me your inspiration photos or ideas so we can begin visualizing the mood of your artwork.
One Week Prior
  • Deep Hydration: Begin drinking 2-3 liters of water a day. Beautiful, dewy skin starts from the inside out.
  • Gentle Exfoliation: Lightly exfoliate your body, paying special attention to knees, elbows, and heels.
  • Hair Removal: If you wax, do so 3-4 days before the session to allow any redness or irritation to completely subside.
24 Hours Prior
  • Wash Your Hair: Wash and dry your hair the night before. Do not apply heavy styling products, dry shampoo, or use hot tools. "Day-old" hair holds professional styling best.
  • The Nail Check: Ensure your fingers and toes are clean and polished. Neutral tones, French tips, or classic reds photograph beautifully.
  • Pack Your Bag: Pack your lingerie, heels, and any sentimental jewelry. Get a full night's sleep.
Editorial Wardrobe Details

The Architecture of Lingerie

Choosing the right wardrobe is not about hiding your body; it is about celebrating your architecture. We recommend bringing three distinct looks to your session to ensure your final gallery has a rich, editorial variety. Below are the rules we swear by for cinematic, timeless portraiture.

The Silhouettes

Bodysuits: The undisputed champion of boudoir. They elongate the torso, define the waist, and provide a sense of structure and confidence.
The Three-Piece Set: A matching bra, cheeky panty, and suspender/garter belt adds layers of visual interest and texture.
The Cut: Opt for Brazilian or "cheeky" cut bottoms. High-cut legs visually lengthen your silhouette beautifully.

What to Leave Behind

We highly recommend leaving corsets and baby-doll dresses at home. Corsets severely restrict your movement (making natural posing difficult) and leave deep red elastic marks on your skin. Baby-doll dresses, while comfortable, hide your natural shape entirely. Trust our posing to flatter your curves instead of hiding them under loose fabric.

Color & Texture

Stick to solids. Black is powerful and timeless. White is ethereal and romantic. Deep jewel tones (emerald, sapphire, burgundy) photograph incredibly well on all skin tones. Avoid neon colors or busy, distracting patterns.

Editorial Beauty and Skin

Skin, Glow & Artistry

Your session includes professional hair and makeup artistry because we want you to feel utterly pampered. To give our artists the best possible canvas, preparation is key.

The Golden Rule of Tanning

Professional studio lighting is exceptionally unforgiving to artificial tans. Flash photography can cause spray tans to pull orange, highlight patchiness, or look unnatural. We strongly advise against spray tanning for your session. We promise that your natural skin tone, properly lit and professionally photographed, is absolute perfection.

Arriving at the Studio

Please arrive with a freshly cleansed, completely bare face. Apply your daily moisturizer, but skip the SPF if possible (as it can cause "flashback" under studio lights). Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing—like a soft maxi dress or oversized sweatpants—and do not wear a bra. This prevents deep elastic impressions from forming on your skin before we begin shooting.

Fuel & Mindset

Eat a solid, nourishing meal before you arrive. Modeling requires a surprising amount of energy and core strength! Most importantly, leave your stress at the door. It is entirely normal to feel nervous, but within the first ten minutes, we promise you will be having the time of your life.

Studio Policies

Clear boundaries for a luxury experience.

Privacy & Discretion

Your privacy is our highest priority. No images are ever shared on our website, social media, or marketing materials without your explicit, written consent. If you choose to keep your images 100% private, that boundary is completely respected.

The Retouching Philosophy

Our retouching is high-end, editorial, and natural. We remove temporary blemishes, soften harsh shadows, and polish the final image. We do not alter your physical body structure. Scars, birthmarks, and stretch marks tell your story; they will be left natural unless you specifically request otherwise.

Guests & Chaperones

To maintain the intimate, focused, and calm energy of the studio, we ask that you come to your session alone. Having an audience—even a supportive partner or best friend—often causes clients to hold back and feel self-conscious.

Rescheduling

We understand that life happens. If you need to reschedule your session, we require a minimum of 14 days notice to transfer your retainer to a new date. Rescheduling with less notice may require a new retainer fee to cover the time reserved for our hair and makeup artist.
