Preparation Guide
I've put together some quick tips for your session to help you be and feel prepared in the lead up.
Preparation Steps
Wear loose clothing (no bra) the day of your session to avoid impressions being left on your skin, also choose clothing that will be easy to remove once your hair & makeup is done.
Wash your hair the day before your session, please do not apply product after it’s washed. Arrive fresh faced ready for hair & makeup.
Moisturize and exfoliate well leading up to your session, especially your face, lips, elbows, knees and heels/feet.
Make sure nails are clean and trimmed or touched up if you like to have them done.
Drink plenty of water leading up to your session for hydrated dewy skin.
Remember to eat the morning of your session, even something small will help you feel sustained and energized throughout your session.
Please let me know if you have any skin allergies or irritants and I can pass this onto the hair and make up artist.
A Note on Tanning
If you are not an experienced self or spray tanner please do not try it for your session. Product can transfer to studio furniture and sheets, and will require a cleaning fee if so. If you are an extremely experienced self-tanner and are confident your tan will not transfer to sheets/furniture you may come tanned, but please be aware any transfer of product onto studio items will incur a cleaning or replacement fee. If you are used to seeing your natural skin colour then that’s the best way to come to your session.
Things to Avoid
The Sun
Avoid situations where you may get sunburnt leading up to your session - sunburn will be softened but not be removed in post-production.
New Tattoos
Please ensure any tattoo appointments are planned with enough time to completely heal prior to your session. It's always best to consult with your artist to ensure you're going to be well prepared.
New Piercings
As above for piercings. Please ensure they have enough time to heal.
Stressing!
Stressing about your session - You’re going to do great! Any worries please get in contact and let me know, nerves are normal but I promise you’ll do great. 🥳
